The Ride: The Legend of Betsy Dowdy
The legend of Betsy Dowdy, a teen-age girl who rode her pony to warn the North Carolina militia that the redcoats were on the move to take Great Bridge. If that were to happen, Betsy and her Pa would lose all they owned.
